How it fits together

Florida on opening night is an unusually useful first test because it immediately measures Miami against a physical, talented roster. Texas in Houston tests the guards away from home. The nonconference schedule should reveal whether the new pieces can create reliable half-court offense before ACC play. This is more portal construction than traditional recruiting analysis. The class should be judged by complementary roles—primary creation, shooting, point-of-attack defense and frontcourt mobility—not by the number of recognizable former schools.
